A notice from the Elections Commission regarding unclear identity cards

The Elections Commission states that if the National Identity Card or any other identity card is not clear, such persons should obtain temporary identity cards to vote.
Identification is an essential factor in voting at elections. Therefore, if the National Identity Card, Passport or Driving License used to identify the election is unclear, the person should meet his Grama Niladhari and obtain a temporary ID issued by the Elections Department.
